Swords[]

One-Handed Swords[]

Swords are melee weapons with comparatively low Fatigue penalty and consistent damage. However, they are not as effective against armor as some other weapons. Due to the additional accuracy of the Slash attack, a sword can be a mercenary's best friend.

Brothers with high Melee Defense can use the Riposte ability to counter every miss, though with a less accurate slash attack. This works well with perks like Perk 05 Shield Expert and Perk 61 Lone Wolf.

Perk 46 Sword Mastery perk gives these bonuses:

  • Riposte skill no longer has penalty to hit chance.
  • Gash skill threshold to inflict injuries is lowered to 50%.
  • Swords skills require 25% less Fatigue.

Two-Handed Swords[]

Two-Handed Swords are some of the most powerful weapons in the game in terms of raw damage. However, their AoE attacks consume a lot of Fatigue and cost more AP than one-handed weapons.

If you take Perk 46 Sword Mastery perk, Split and Swing will gain a +5% chance to hit, and all weapon skills will require 25% lessFatigue.
